Obituary of Nancy A. Kling
Nancy A. Kling, 74, of 106 Springdale Ave., died unexpectedly Monday, April 29, 2013 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - Shadyside.
She was born February 18, 1939 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn Anderson Buzard, and was a graduate of Jamestown High School and the Millard Fillmore School of Nursing in Buffalo.
As a registered nurse, Nancy was employed by the former Jamestown General Hospital from 1960 until its closing in 1988. She retired from nursing after several years with Heritage Village in Gerry, NY.
Nancy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was active in Altar Guild and Immanuel Families, and belonged to the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. She looked forward to her weekly outings with special friends and loved going on bus tours with Super Travelers.
Nancy was always a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed being involved in and supportive of all her family's activities.
She is survived by a son, Daniel (Diane) Kling of Jamestown and a daughter, Laurie (Todd) Hinton of Ellijay, GA; six grandchildren: Bethany Kling of Woodbridge, VA, Erin Kling and Emily Kling, both of Jamestown, Tyler Hinton and Cody Hinton, both of Ellijay, GA, and Holly (Ray) Hadley of Vine Grove, KY; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas L. Kling, whom she married April 8, 1961 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, and who died January 25, 2007; and a brother, Charles Raymond Buzard, who died serving in the Korean War.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to the service in the church Sunday.
