Obituary of April M. Shirley

April M. Shirley, 47, of 96 Bowen St. Jamestown passed away Monday (May 6, 2013) in the emergency room of W.C.A. Hospital. A lifelong area resident she was born May 21, 1965 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Kenneth Evans, Sr. and Sandra Welsh. Before her illness, she had worked for the Resource Center and was also a cake decorator for Quality Markets for several years. She was also a member of the Jamestown Moose Lodge. Surviving are her mother Sandra Welsh and her step-father, Robert Welsh, both of Celoron; her Fiance Wilson Cooper of Jamestown, three sons; Spencer Shirley, Tyler & Samantha Shirley, Adam Evans all of Jamestown, 7 grand children; Mollie Nolan, Ison, Mya, Kendra, Carter, and Chase Shirley, Anthony Mohney all of Jamestown, three brothers; Kenneth Evans, Jr., Bill Evans both of Jamestown, Bobby Evans of Dewittville, NY, a sister Bernice Reil of Wrightsville, PA and a close family friend Jennifer Anderson. Besides her father she was preceded in death by her uncle David Evans. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
