Obituary of Paul F. Salerno

Paul F. Salerno, 77, formerly of 6 Morris Lane in Jamestown, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Lake Winnebago, Missouri, where he had resided since September of 2011. He was born December 26, 1935 in Buffalo and served in the 101st Airborne Division of the Army during the Korean War. Paul married Marie "Pinky" Alvarez on June 11, 1955 and enjoyed 52 years of marriage, raising their family together in Maple Springs on Chautauqua Lake. She passed away on January 4, 2007. Prior to his retirement, Paul was employed by Otis Elevator for 36 years. Always very devoted to his family, he is survived by two children, Vince (Laurie) Salerno of Lake Winnebago, MO and Beverly Olson of New Lennox, IL; ten grandchildren: Anthony Salerno, Timothy (Megan) Salerno, Tara Salerno, Rachel Salerno, Tiffany Salerno, Amarah Salerno, Brooke Salerno, Lindsey Olson (Sam) Multack, Aaron (Aimee) Olson and Kris Olson; three great-grandchildren: Kelsey Multack, Caleb Multack and Vincent Timothy Salerno II; and a sister, Madelyn Gau of Buffalo and brother, Tom (Pat) Salerno of Springville. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Baldelli and a brother, David Salerno. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 11 in Holy Apostles Parish, St. John Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende will be celebrant. Inurnment will be in Lake View Cemetery.
