Obituary of Laura VonVolen

Laura A. VonVolen, 52, of 11 Bush St. passed away at 2:53 p.m. Thursday (May 9, 2013) in her home. A lifelong area resident she was born February 6, 1961 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late John VonVolen and Virginia Bergey VonVolen Lattimore. In earlier years she had worked for the former Manor Oak Skilled Nursing Facility, Fenton Park Nursing Home and Tanglewood Manor. She was currently a volunteer for the Chautauqua County Adult Day Care Program, Taft Center, at Christ First United Methodist Church. Surviving is a son Joshua VonVolen, a brother Billy VonVolen and a sister Lisa (Victor) Karas all of Jamestown. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Erickson, pastor of the Lighthouse Baptist Church will officiate. Visitation will not be observed.
