I was truly blessed to have a father like you. A man who provided discipline, instilled a solid work ethic, taught me to stand on my own two feet and face the world head on and always with your love and support. So many of these lessons I passed on to my daughters and they were lucky to have you be a big part of their lives through the years. So as you take your place in heaven remember to look down and see how the seeds you have sown continue to grow from generation to generation.

Grandpa you were my rock that even on a bad day could make me smile. I am proud to be your granddaughter along with having the chance to be your own nurse. You are by me everyday that I continue to grow and embrace my career and life. I will always have you in my heart hearing your laugh and "belching along with Mitch". I wake up every morning to a porch full of birds and chipmunks and know you are watching over me with grandma by your side. I am blessed to have had such a wonderful man be a part of my entire life in every aspect. I know you will still be there for me when I need you in all the memories my heart holds of our years together.

Ever since I was a very little girl, I remember you as a pillar of strength. I remember how he was always a guy's guy, looking at the engine of a mustang, yet went to weekly Mass. We miss you now, and will see you again.
Love,
Jean

May the road rise to meet you....
Grandpa you taught me life is a journey and it takes a lot of hard work along the way. But with all that hard work you must have a good sense of humor and a solid arsenal of “stories” to share.
As a grandfather you were caring, supportive yet tough making sure us girls were doing what we were suppose to do and “not giving our mother a hard time”. Though how often you always made sure to check in with our lives and give some advice.
In the eyes of all your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren (two of them mine) we can all remember the great man you were. We are all blessed by the many memories we hold and now can retell as our own “stories”.

I will always remember you by your sense of humor and the silly stories you would tell me and what it was like when you were growing up as a kid. I want to thank you for being the best Grandfather, my great-grandfather - My Double G! Thank you for always caring about me and never forgetting about me. You were always so kind. Because of you I am proud of my last name. I am glad you got to meet my little brother and sister when they were babies. You are a great person to look up to and I hope I will be as successful and enjoy life as much as you did. Every time I see a red cardinal I think of you. I was so fortunate to have you in my life Great Grandpa. You will be missed. I love you very much.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Dornhofer family. I loved your Dad, he was one of my very favorite people to see and visit with. I remember how excited he was when he found out I was having a baby and he always asked about my son everytime we met. I thought of him often after leaving the bank several years ago and actually was thinking of him the other day, must have been a sign. RIP and enjoy meeting up with your beloved Dixie in heaven. Much love, Mary Ann DePasquale
