Obituary of Donald E. Lynn

Donald E. Lynn, 58, of 2380 Village Common Drive, Erie, PA, formally of Lakewood, NY, passed away Sunday (May 12, 2013) at his home. A Jamestown area resident for most of his life, he was born September 7, 1954 in Akron, OH a son of Dr. Richard M. Lynn and the late Virginia Winberg Lynn. Don was a 1972 graduate of Southwestern Central School and earned his Bachelors Degree from Wooster College, Wooster, OH. and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the Albany Law School, Albany , NY. During his professional carrer he maintained his private law practice and also served as the Corporation Council for the City of Jamestown for several years and was the attorney representing Jamestown Community College. He will be remembered as an accomplished tennis player during his high school years. He was a very skillful writer and an avid reader. He also loved listening to music and enjoyed outdoor activities. Surviving are his daughter Olivia Lynn of Chicago, IL, his father, Dr. Richard M. Lynn of Erie, PA, a brother Richard M. (Joanne) Lynn, Jr. of Cornwall, CT, two sisters Nancy J. (Leonard) Lightfoot of Burbank, CA, Janet K. (John) Blakeslee of Erie, PA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother who died November 16, 2011. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2820 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701.
