Obituary of Daron Elizabeth Peterson

Daron Elizabeth Peterson, 30, of 5458 Bly Hill Rd. Ashville, NY, passed away at 8:52 p.m. Monday (June 3, 2013) in W.C.A. Hospital. A lifelong area resident she was born October 7, 1982 the daughter of Richard M. "Dick" and Wanda L. Weary Peterson. Daron attended the Ashville Boces Program where she received the Katie Campbell Rexford Award for Special Olympics and the Katie Gorbet Award, upon her graduation in 2004. She attended the Bemus Point United Methodist Church and was very active with the Resource Center Day Program activities. She also enjoyed baking cookies, being outdoors and loved to watch Disney movies, especially The Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. Surviving are her parents of Ashville, a brother John S.T. (Amber) Peterson of Huntsville, TX, her paternal grandmother Jane Peterson of Whitehouse, TX, her maternal grandparents Cork and Naomi Weary of Mayville, NY as well as many loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Richard F. Peterson. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel G. McBride pastor of the Bemus Point United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashville, NY. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Friday and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home.
