Obituary of Darlene A. Thom

Darlene A. Thom, 62, of 110 West Third St. Jamestown, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday (June 5, 2013) in her home. An area resident for most of her life she was born May 13, 1951 in Endicott, NY an adoptive daughter of the late George and Twila Lang. In earlier years she had been employed by Bush Industries, Heritage Park Nursing Home, Manor Oak and Willcare. She also was a volunteer at the Chautauqua Adult Day Care Taft Center. She was a member of the Victory Tabernacle and will be remembered as a very loving and giving Christian woman who would do anything for anyone at anytime. She always carried her bible with her and enjoyed her bible study friends Nancy, Sandy and Vee. Surviving are two sons Joshua Thom and Jeremiah Thom, a grandson Dawson Thom all of Jamestown and several brothers and sisters including Timothy Lang of IN. She is also survived by her caregiver for the past 5 years Cheryl Lockhart. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Crosby of the Victory Tabernacle will officiate. Visitation will not be observed.
