Obituary of Judith M. Hummerich

Judith M. Hummerich, 74, of 47 West Terrace Ave. Lakewood, NY, passed away unexpectedly at 4:25 a.m. Friday (June 14, 2013) in her home. An area resident for most of her life, she was born October 6, 1938 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the late Oswell and Josephine Strauss. She had been employed by several area businesses over the years including the Jamestown Public School System, "A Children's Place" Day Care Center, J.S. Auto Supply, Sears and the Watch Shop. She was also a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Surviving are her husband Leo E. Hummerich, Jr. whom she married May 8, 1959, a son Leo E. Hummerich, III of Jamestown, a daughter Jayne Reich of Foster, VA, three grandchildren Michael Reich of Foster, VA, Nicholas and Rachael Hummerich both of Jamestown and a sister June Niefer of West Seneca, NY. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation observed. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
