Obituary of William L. Hutley
William L. Hutley, 79, of 3450 Lawson Road, died peacefully Saturday July 6, 2013, in his home surrounded by his family
A native of Jamestown, he was born February 18, 1934, a son of the late Henry and Dorothy Abbott Hutley.
He was a 1952 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a US Army Veteran from 1956 until 1958 and served in the reserves until 1962. Bill was a 43 year employee of Ring Tool and Die retiring as time study analyst and methods technician.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Herman Kent Post 777, Thule and Jamestown Moose Lodge.
He enjoyed puttering around the yard, but more than anything he loved time spent with his family and his dogs. He will be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather and friend to all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife the former Priscilla Thomson, whom he married December 3, 1960; 3 children Deborah (John Cusimano) Hasson of Falconer, William (Melinda Dellert) Hutley, Jr. of Corning, NY and Melissa (Pat) Johnston of Busti; 7 grandchildren Ronald (Rachael) Hasson, Jr. Brian (Ganna) Hasson, Ryan Mays, Cassie Mays, Tori Johnston, Mckayla Hutley and Brittany Hutley; 2 great grandchildren Alex and Adrianna Hasson; a brother Robert (Wilma) Hutley of Lander, PA; a sister Lois (Emory) Olson of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Hutley.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
