Obituary of Jan Carlos De Los Santos Nunez

Jan Carlos De Los Santos Nunez, 17, of 175 Allen Street, died Saturday July 6, 2013, in Women and Children's Hospital, Buffalo, following a swimming accident in Westfield. A Jamestown resident since 2012, he was born January 7, 1996, in Nagua, Dominican Republic, a son of Carlos De Los Santos and Elizabeth Nunez. He attended Nueva Vida and played softball on El Corrillo in the city slow pitch league. He enjoyed basketball, drawing and song writing. He studied English as a Second Language through the Live and Learn Program of Joint Neighborhood Project. Surviving are His father of Jamestown; his mother of the Dominican Republic; stepmother Anabel De Los Santos of Jamestown; sister Elizabeth Cabrera Nunez of Union City, NJ; 2 brothers Rander and Yadriel De Los Santos both of Jamestown; step brother Alex Romero of Jamestown and fianc Limerka Diaz of Jamestown. The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Alfonso Pagan will officiate. Burial will be in the Dominican Republic.
