I have been thinking a lot about you since I heard of your passing. Today I was thinking in Church about the day we met.......
Must have been around 1991 or 1992. You stopped in the bar and introduced yourself and "Right Off the Bat" you made friends with everyone!
Jim stopped in a couple nights a week after work sometimes a little later and watched the Yankees with us (Stardust) and we really enjoyed having him.
Today I was thinking that you ALWAYS had a smile on your face when you walked in the door and ALWAYS had a smile on your face when you left.
I was thinking today that you were always so happy. You kinda reminded me of.... Err.... No not him. Maybe ummm..... no not him. Well come to think of it Jim reminded me of No One Else On This Earth!
He was One Of A Kind that's for sure! And that was a good thing!
I used to have a private viewing room in the back where me and a select few would watch special events. One night Jim walked in with his ticket ready to watch the Tyson Fight and he was so excited!
He snap his fingers and with a BIG GRIN said "Yep A Night Out With The Guys" he say that 3 or 4 times thru the night. Really happy to be included and we were MORE then happy to have him.
Being the Bar Owner and some of the time Bartender I would Dread certain people coming in. You have to listen to their problems and give advice but not with Jim. He NEVER Complained or needed to vent. Even tho I knew everything in his life was not perfect.
He would stop in Right after Church to watch the Bills game. First one there!! I would have to let him in before I was even open. He would grab the seat right in the middle of the bar and look all around at the 47 TV's and say "Yep Football Today" all excited.
Jim MAY have been the perfect Customer but I KNOW he was the perfect Friend.
I will miss you my friend!!!!

The Best Memories we will remember and hold close to are hearts... His smile, His laughter, His sense of humor and kindness. Of course...His "position" in the back left hand field corner every year at Our Family Reunion baseball tournament, and his pockets full of change that he added to the sawdust for the younger family members to "dig" for with sheer delight!! We send our sincere condolences and prayers to you XO...RIP cuz Jimmy.
