Obituary of Bruce A. Boardman
Bruce Alan Boardman
Beloved, devoted, caring, dependable son and big brother and good friend was born 59 years ago in Jamestown, NY and peacefully passed of natural causes Friday August 2, 2013 at the home he shared with his sister in Ellery Center.
He was a 1972 graduate of Maple Grove High School and attended Jamestown Business College. He enjoyed his family, friends, traveling, cookouts, swimming, music, cooking, and his dog Mandy.
He was employed by Ethan Allen Inc from 1972 when he graduated until the plant in Mayville closed in 2003. He first worked at Frewsburg Division in the yard and stockroom and in the Mayville Division and Falconer Warehouse, and then as a Service Center Manager in Chesapeake, VA and Lowell, Mass; returning to this area he worked at the Mayville plant until it closed. He then worked at Artone Furniture and in health care.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald Glenn Boardman Sr; his grandmothers, Ebba Pearson Anderson, Lillian Peterson Waid, and step grandmother Wiona Franzen Boardman; his grandfathers, Glenn Ira Boardman and John August Albert Anderson; and a cousin David August Anderson.
He is survived by his mother Allene Louise Anderson Boardman; his brother Donald Glenn Boardman Jr.; his sister Debra Louise Ann Boardman; his good friend James Paul, who was like another brother; and four cousins in Ohio, Robert, Roger, and Steven Anderson; and Tammy Watkins.
God welcomed you into heaven, so enjoy it there.
No visitation will be held. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
