Obituary of Carolyn M. Strom

Carolyn M. Strom, 75, of 106 Lakin Ave. passed away at 5:18 a.m. Tuesday (August 13, 2013) in the Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, NY. A lifelong area resident she was born September 23, 1937 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Charles and Marie Bowen Chapman. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved to hunt, ride her motorcycle and horses. She also loved to sing, play guitar and several other musical instruments. She loved to watch Godfather movies, the Sopranos and was a big fan of John Wayne westerns. Surviving are her husband Donald V. Strom whom she married May 29, 1956, two sons; Steven (Marty) Strom, Jeremy Strom both of Jamestown, seven grandchildren; Kelsey Strom, Matthew Strom, Stephen Swegles, Kristi Chapman, Michelle King, Amber Harrington, Raymond Strom all of Jamestown and five great grandchildren; Breanna King, Zachariah King, Tyler Swegles, Mason Chapman, Cole Chapman. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Stanley V. Strom, a daughter Christina Strom, two brothers Harold and Donald Chapman and two sisters Dolores Keith and Jane Chapman. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Irma Anderson of the Compassion Unlimited Ministries will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
