Obituary of Judith Ann Distefano

Judith Ann Distefano, 56, of 12 Vista Way Lakewood, NY passed away at 12:05 a.m. Friday (August 16, 2013) in her home following an extended illness. An area resident for the past four years, she was born October 19, 1956 in Torrance, CA, a daughter of Bobby Lee Shoun and June Lucille Mathis Berkland. She was a graduate of Harbor City College in Harbor City, CA. While living in California she was employed as a dental receptionist and most recently had worked for The Connections in Jamestown, NY. In previous years while living in LeRoy, NY she was the co-owner of Tyler's Restaurant in LeRoy. Surviving are her companion Gary White with whom she made her home in Lakewood, her father Bobby L. Shoun and her stepmother Julene Shoun of Owasso, OK, her mother June L. Berkland of Pahrump, NV, a son Shawn Hague, a daughter Corina Marie Distefano both of Carson City, NV, two grandchildren Aleah Hague and Angelina Marie DiFrancesca and a sister Kathy Hopkins of Marino Valley, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Dave Distefano who died October 15, 2004. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2013, in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Cathy Smith, Chaplain of Hospice Chautauqua County will officiate. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
