Obituary of Margaret E. Ryan

Margaret E. Ryan, 82, of 1922 Hoag Rd. Ashville, NY passed away at 8:10 a.m. Saturday (August 17, 2013) in her home follow an extended illness. A lifelong area resident she was born September 9, 1930 in Ashville, NY a daughter of the late Floyd and Esther Shaler Card. Before her retirement she was employed by the former Quality Markets for 26 years. She was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union and the American Association of Retired People. She will be remembered as a loving, caring and wonderful mother who was always there for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening and doing embroidery and will always be remembered for her cooking and baking. Surviving are seven sons; Donald (Carolyn) Ryan, Douglas (Dee) Ryan both of Lakewood, Floyd (Virginia) Ryan of Jamestown, Gary (Betty) Ryan, Marshall Ryan, Michael (Jean Destefano) Ryan, Timothy Ryan all of Ashville, a daughter Pamela (Ed) Fuller of Ashville, 21 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and her favorite dogs Peanut and Molly. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Paula L. Ryan and her companion of 38 years Delbert Reeves. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
