Obituary of Donald Glenn Boardman

Donald Glenn Boardman Jr., 57 years old, beloved son, brother, step father, step grandfather, friend and special helper for all jobs that family or friends needed done. Born February 12, 1956, in Jamestown, NY and passed away August 16, 2013 at Gates Vascular Institute, part of Buffalo General Hospital, of multiple complications after a major stroke. He made you feel loved, protected and safe. He graduated from Maple Grove High School, Bemus Point June 1974 with his best friend of over 40 years Clarence "Skip" Anderson. They were like brothers and had a strong connection with racing and working on old cars. He was a championship wrestler and he enjoyed NASCAR racing, football games and history. He was known as "Broth" or "Junior". He started work in 1974 at Frewsburg Division of Ethan Allen and then went on to Falconer Plate Glass until they closed and then to some other industries until they would close. He returned to Mayville Division of Ethan Allen and of course it closed. He later worked at Artone Furniture and a couple other factories in the Jamestown area. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Glenn Boardman Sr., and all his grandparents, and most recently his older brother Bruce Alan Boardman, born December 22, 1953 and passed on August 2, 2013. He is survived by his mother Allene L. Boardman, sister Debra Louise Ann Boardman, step mother Gloria Sigworth, four cousins in Ohio, his ex wife Joyce, step daughter Jennifer, and step grandchildren Dylan and Haven. May Don and his brother Bruce enter heavens gates together hand in hand as it has always been, with all our loved ones who have passed before waiting with open arms to greet them. No visitation will be held. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Again thanking the Ellery Center Fire Department volunteers for their help. Memorials in Donald's name may be made to a charity of choice.
