Obituary of Nancy A. Frangione

Nancy A. Frangione, 70, of 27 Durant Avenue, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in her home. She was born in Jamestown on November 28, 1942. A graduate of Southwestern Central School, Nancy had in earlier years been employed by Landy Brothers Pharmacy. She was a member of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter & Paul Church. Nancy enjoyed golf, bowling and tennis and looked forward to vacationing in Florida. Her greatest joy was time spent with family and attending all of the sporting events of her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, John J. Frangione, whom she married May 5, 1962; three sons: Todd (Pam) Frangione, Dennis (Laura) Frangione and Jeffrey (Theresa) Frangione, all of Jamestown; nine grandchildren: Joshua Frangione, Joseph Frangione, Alexandria Frangione, Steven Frangione, Ryan Frangione, Jacob Frangione, Anthony Frangione, Tiffany Work and Crystal Work, all of Jamestown; and a great-grandson, Jackson Frangione. She was preceded in death by her mother, the former Margaret Moore; her father, John Thomas and step-father, Frank Mastrian; and two sisters, Jacqueline Neid and Bess Henry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday in Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter & Paul Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Michelle Kay Reynolds Memorial Leukemia Fund, c/o the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, 418 Spring St., Jamestown, NY 14701; or to the Italian-American Charity Golf Assoc., P.O.
