Obituary of June P. Gullotti
June P. Gullotti, 84, of 15 Euclid Ave. passed away at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday (August 28, 2013) in the UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA.
A lifelong area resident she was born May 16, 1929 in Jamestown, NY, the youngest daughter of the late Thomas and Rose Scalise Paolillo.
She was a graduate of Jamestown High School, Class of 1947.
In earlier years June was the assistant manager for the former Lerner's Dress Shop in downtown Jamestown. She was also employed as a billing clerk by the former Art Metal Corporation and later was a Library Aide for the Jamestown Public School System at Washington Junior High School.
A communicant of Holy Apostles Parish at St. John Catholic Church, June was active in the Altar and Rosary Society for many years. In recent years, she was always a part of the Italian Festival and Lenten Fish Fry. Her yearly donation of sfinge to the St. Josephs Table at St. John Church will be greatly missed.
June was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother whose life revolved around spending time with her family. She loved to cook and bake for them, especially during the holidays. Dancing with her husband was one of her greatest pleasures.
Surviving are her husband William S. Gullotti whom she married September 3, 1951, a son; Dr. Thomas S. (Karen) Gullotti, two daughters; June G. (Dr. Todd) Jacobson, Elizabeth G. (Daniel) Bracey all of Jamestown, eight grandchildren; William A. (Susan) Gullotti, Karen E. (Robert) Cross, Maria Jacobson, Liza J. (Nicholas) Babcock, Benjamin P. Bracey all of Jamestown, Anne M. Gullotti of Hartford, CT, Daniel J. Bracey of Hollywood, CA, Emily E. Bracey of New York, NY, four great grandchildren; Matthew Gullotti, Hannah Cross, Alexis Cross, Lydia Cross and a sister Grace Comella of Jamestown.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Nina S. Palermo who died December 12, 2010.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Holy Apostles Parish at St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 3:45 p.m. Friday.
