Obituary of Irving W. Kesby
Irving W. "Billy" Kesby Jr., 55, of the Ellery-Centralia Road Bemus Point, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday August 27, 2013 at WCA Hospital.
A lifelong resident of the Town of Ellery, he was born December 8, 1957 in Westfield, NY the son of Irving W. and Carol Underwood Kesby Sr.
He was a 1977 graduate of Maple Grove Jr. Sr. High School where he played football and sang with the Village Singers; and he served in the US Air Force. Billy was a former employee of Weber-Knapp. In later years he was self employed as a handyman.
Billy was an avid Bills fan. He loved spending time with family and friends. He adored his dogs, Bridgette and Barney.
Surviving besides his mother of Ellery are, three sisters, Pamela (Bill) Barbitta; Trudy (Jim) Ruvolo both of Ohio; Rhonda (Bill) Winstead of Texas; nieces, Rachel and Sarah Winstead of Texas; Anna Barbitta and nephew Carl Barbitta of Ohio; Aunt Donna Pacitti; Uncles Bruce and Roy Underwood; and numerous cousins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irving and Ina Kesby, Earl and Helen Underwood; and nephew's, Anthony Ruvolo and Bradley Winstead.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ellery Center Volunteer Fire Department or to a charity of one's choice.
