Obituary of Beverly J. Moon

Beverly J. Moon, 85, of 63 Sanford Drive Jamestown, passed away Friday August 30, 2013 at St. Vincent's Health Care, Erie, PA. She was born April 13, 1928 in Jamestown the daughter of Nelson and Margaret Peterson Palmer. Beverly was a longtime employee of Speedy Auto. She was a member of the Camp Street United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School in earlier years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and going on shopping trips with her daughters. Beverly was always interested and curious about what was going on in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of over 65 years, Robert Moon; two daughters, Jan (Terry) Hotchkiss of Jamestown; Roberta (David) Szwejbka of North East, PA; a son, Thomas (Lois) Moon of Jamestown; nine grandchildren, Megan (Jessica) Liliestedt, Devin (Eric) Johnson, Nicole (Justin) Glen, Danielle (David) Hoff, Ryan Szwejbka, Amanda Moon, Bobby Moon, Alexis Moon, Beverly Moon; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn Pedersen of Jamestown, and Joanna Utt of Georgia. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday September 2, 2013 in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Kevin Costner, pastor of Camp Street United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
