Obituary of Karin B. Dudas

Karin B. Dudas, 75, of 140 Aldren Ave. Jamestown, NY, passed away at 9:19 p.m. Saturday (August 31, 2013) in W.C.A. Hospital. A Jamestown area resident for the past three years, she was born April 5, 1938 in Youngstown, OH a daughter of the late Ralph and Althea Henry Hoon. She was a graduate of the Aultman Hospital School of Nursing in Canton, OH and had worked as a Registered Nurse for several medical practices in Ohio, California and Pennsylvania through the years. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Thomas C. Dudas whom she married June 6, 1958, a daughter Lisa A. (Thomas) Holt of Jamestown, NY, a son Michael S. (Sylvia Lago) Dudas of Seattle, WA, four grandchildren; Ryan Holt, Leah Holt both of Jamestown, Sofia Dudas, Alicia Dudas both of Seattle and a sister Deitra Peruchetti of Columbiana, OH. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife who was always game for her and Tom's many adventures; the relocations, track meets, and Disney vacations. Family was very important to Karin, she cherished her relationship with her sister Dee throughout her life. As a devoted mother, she was always first to volunteer at Mike and Lisa's many school and extracurricular activities. For the past twenty years her greatest joy was spending time with her four grandchildren and even when she could not be with them, she was in frequent contact to be sure she did not miss out on any part of their lives. Finally, she loved her dogs, especially her Westies, who were a great source of comfort to her and to whom she was very devoted. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Christ Chapel of Lutheran Social Services, 715 Falconer St., Jamestown, NY. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt, chaplain will officiate. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Friends will be received in the chapel for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701.
