Though the Lord allowed Aunt Eva to be with us for so many years, we will miss her very much! She was a sweet aunt and we so much enjoyed her stories about all the interesting things she'd done over the years. I was just a little younger than her daughter Bonnie, and I still remember our heartbreak when she died so tragically. But even though she and Uncle Jim had lost their only daughter, they still welcomed me to have overnighters in their home. And even though it has been around 55 years since, I can still remember Aunt Eva tying on me one of her big aprons and allowing me to help her make a lemon cake which we frosted with lemon frosting and silver sprinkles.
