I consider Eldon to be one of the closest and dearest friends in my lifetime. I will be eternally grateful for his faithful stewardship of Scripture, and in particular for helping me to understand Grace, that God loves me just as I am. I have so many fond memories, especially singing duets with him in more small area churches than I can remember. And our hours on the tennis courts will always be treasured. We are holding you, Rosemary, and the family in our prayers. May you sense God's nearness. Don & Wendy Meyer, Peoria AZ.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Eldon. I never heard or I would surely have made the services. I was just thinking the other day that I should stop and visit him with a package of OREOs in hand. We shared many a conversation over OREOs when I worked on his house on the lake. Eldon was a very special man and will always be in my heart. Marty

Perhaps my daughter said it best that Eldon was one who always was excited about the moment he would see Jesus. He was to me the most admirable pastor, friend, counselor. His beautiful tenor voice rings even now. What a time he must be having with Jesus. Our worship at Zion Covenant Church under his ministry was one of the highlights of our family's life. God Bless his wonderful wife Rosemary during these days. I will always remmber his big part in having me sing as part of a male quartet, it was joyful. May Bruce and Greg, and their families, be comforted by the reward he is having.

Rosemary and family,
I cherish the memories of Eldon. His loving Christian spirit was felt by all he met. He was the only pastor for our daughters had from their infant dedication until he married them. Some of my best memories are the years I worked on staff with him. He was my pastor, spiritual guide, and friend. I was blessed and so was our family to have had him as our pastor. May you feel God's peace now and in the days to come.

Although I grew up in the First Covenant Church, I always enjoyed Eldon when he was part of our activities or when our High League joined Zion's for social things.
Always loved it when he sat down at the piano!
I was so glad when he spoke at my dad's funeral (Milt Johnson).

Pastor Johnson was the first pastor at Zion when we joined there years ago. His light shone before all in his position as pastor and a member of the community. Although we have since moved away from Jamestown, both David and I have very fond memories of Pastor Johnson.

What a wonderful person Pastor Eldon was. I will never forget the times he took the youth to the lake house and connected so well with us to show us the true meaning of being a Christian. His teachings have stayed with me. He will be missed.

What a special, tender, loving and Godly Man! Pastor Eldon married us, Rosemary sang at our wedding, and even though he came to Zion after I had left home for college, I always considered him my "home Pastor". His gentle spirit and kind ways and his love for Christ will always be remembered. Peace to his memory.

Rosemary and Family,
May God wrap His loving arms of comfort and strength around you. You are all in my prayers.
"I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love." Leo Buscaglia
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. ROMANS 5:1
