Obituary of Annette L. Bergstue
Annette L. Bergstue, of Richmond Heights, Ohio, formerly of 65 Blanchard St. in Jamestown, died Friday, September 6, 2013 in Ohio.
She was the widow of Alfred Bergstue, whom she married November 11, 1950 and who died June 4, 1999.
A lifelong area resident, Annette was born in Jamestown on September 3, 1921, a daughter of the late Clarence and Mildred Hallin Hutley, and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1939.
She had been employed by Jamestown Worsted Mills from 1939 to 1942; in the Advertising Department of Dahlstrom Metallic Door Co. from 1942 to 1952; by Jamestown High School; and from 1970 to 1983 by both Jamestown Community College Library Technical Services and as a Supervisor at the Jamestown Civil Services Test Center.
Annette attended Busti Federated Church with Pastor Lee O'Brien.
Surviving are four children: Julie (Lee) Hall of Cleveland, OH, Daniel Berg of Chapel Hill, NC, Gordon (Renee) Bergstue of Hartselle, AL and Tom (Caryl) Bergstue of Jamestown; five grandchildren: Brock, Grant and Lauren Bergstue of Hartselle, and Tricia Bergstue and Kristin (Evan) Oakes of Jamestown; a brother, Burton (Rachel) Hutley of Sequim, WA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Hutley and a sister, Clarice Hale.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Lee O'Brien will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
