Obituary of Pearl J. Hnatyszyn
Pearl J. Hnatyszyn, 95, formerly of 355 Falconer St., died at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Lutheran Home & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born December 30, 1917 in Scandia, Pa., a daughter of the late Martinus and Marie Larson Jesperson.
A member of Buffalo Street United Methodist Church, Pearl in earlier years was actively involved in both the Brownies and the Girl Scouts.
She is survived by a son, George Hnatyszyn of Jamestown and a daughter, Linda Wolfe of Cincinnati, OH; nine grandchildren: Mark Hnatyszyn of Vista, CA, Cathy Perrone of Jamestown, Todd Hnatyszyn of Jamestown, Christina Summers of Cincinnati, Gretchen Anselmo of Pittsburgh, PA, Richard Paul Wolfe of Bellingham, WA, Chad Ashbery and Jason Ashbery, both of Buffalo, and Laura Ashbery of Clearwater, FL; as well as twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, John Hnatyszyn, whom she married May 11, 1946 and who died May 29, 1976; a daughter, Jane Ashbery; and five brothers and four sisters.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel K. Nagle will officiate. Burial will be in Scandia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for 1 hours prior to the service, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
