Obituary of Ingrid R. Larson

Ingrid R. Larson, 84, of 2109 Southwestern Drive Lakewood, passed away Saturday September 28, 2013 in WCA Hospital. She was born September 15, 1929 in Dala Jarna, Sweden, the daughter of the late A. Waldemar and Ruth Johnson Christianson. For many years, Ingrid was employed at the Medical Dental Hospital Bureau, and also at Trucklite. She was a member and Senior Soldier of the Salvation Army where she was active in the Home League, String Band, and the senior citizens group. Ingrid enjoyed crocheting, needle work, baking, shopping, attending the Scandinavian Festival, and collecting angels. Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Bosley and son in law Chuck Bosley of Lakewood; a son, Robert Rosengren Jr. of NC; eight grandchildren, Vickie Kibbe, Tonya Bosley, Lisa Hayes, all of Jamestown; Charle' Bosley, Cassie Antell, Jim Rosengren all of Frewsburg; Robert Joseph Rosengren of Binghamton; Shawn Kane of Bemus Point; 20 great grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor S. Larson whom she married April 23, 1988 and who died October 12, 1996; and two grandsons, Paul and Christopher. The funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Captain John Merchant, Salvation Army Officer will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 83 S Main Street Jamestown, NY 14701.
