Obituary of Nancy Larson

Nancy Larson, 85, formerly of 279 Sampson Street, died Saturday October 5, 2013, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Jamestown, she was born April 14, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Ruth Johnson Lundquist. She was a 1946 graduate of Jamestown High School and worked at the Jamestown Bus Company before leaving to raise her family. She was a member of Lakewood Rod and Gun Auxiliary and Thule Lodge. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be remembered as a gifted seamstress, an excellent baker and talented athlete. She enjoyed bowling and golfing in several leagues. Surviving are two sons Dan (Janice) Larson of East Amherst, NY and Larry Larson of Jamestown; six grandchildren Seth Larson of Webster, NY, Julie Hoff of Newburgh, IN, Thomas, Carl and Laura Larson of East Amherst, NY and Lucas Larson of Jamestown and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lowell Larson, whom she married October 25, 1947 and who died March 11, 2013; a son and daughter-in-law Steven and Sue Larson; a daughter Debra (Terry) Hoff; grandson Brian Hoff; a brother John Lundquist and a sister Lillian Johnson. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Friday and for one hour prior to the service Saturday in the funeral home.
