Obituary of Leona M. Anderson

Leona M. "Lee" Anderson, 81, of 65 Brookside Estates, Jamestown passed away at 2:30 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2013, in W.C.A. Hospital. A lifelong area resident she was born November 9, 1931 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Stanley and Frances Anderson Christenson. She was a retired employee of the T. James Clark Box and Label Corporation where she worked for 20 years and was a member of the Thule Lodge # 127 VASA Order of America and the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time in her garden and going to craft shows with her family and friends. Surviving are her husband Edwin O. Anderson whom she married November 6, 1948, a daughter Brenda L. Kelly, two sons Bruce E. (Cheryl) Anderson, Bradley A. Anderson all of Jamestown, two grandsons Shane Anderson, Bradley Anderson both of Jamestown, four great grandchildren and a brother Stanley "Chick" (Jackie) Christenson of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Gale Christenson. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701.
