I'm sad that I wasn't able to make it to see Terry off on his journey. I'm blessed to have met him and known him for even a short time.
I knew Terry through one of my best friends: his son Steve. I remember watching Steve and Terry playfully bicker with each other almost every visit while Steve and I shared an apartment shortly after college. You could see how close this father and son were, and how much they cared about and respected each other.
Terry brought a great sense of humor and perspective to otherwise ordinary situations in life. This is a guy who certainly touched this world, and will be remembered fondly.
God Bless, Terry. May God welcome you home.

I had known Terry as part of the family for as long as I can remember. While Terry and Sue would visit my family, I remember them cheering me on at my softball games in a way that made me feel like they had been to every one of my games. I will never forget his support, even something as simple as playing catch, made us all feel very important and loved. I will always remember his sense of humor who made all of my family laugh. Terry will be missed.

Terry had so much more living to do. It's such a tragedy that his time was cut far too short. He was a loving, caring dad to his wonderful son and a great father-in-law to my lovely daughter, Jennifer. May God's grace shine upon his memory and all those he touched throughout his life. He will be sadly missed.

I always looked forward to visits from Terry and Sue. The joy and laughter of every visit made me wish it were longer and look forward to the next. Terry was a remarkable man, and will be missed terribly. His intelligence, humor, and insight were value to any conversation. I enjoyed how he interacted with my father, like a brother. He was always just another member of the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you Sue and your family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Terry in 1989 when he took me under his wing at MRC. When I traveled from Arizona to Jamestown the Eckwahl house became my second home. Through their kindness Carol and I became good friends with Terry and Sue. Terry had a great cynical sense of humor that would always make us laugh. His perception and intellect on past and current issues were always enlightening. His conservative thoughts were special and always spot on! Terry was a thoughtful and compassionate person and would always be concerned about what was happening in other’s lives. Some of our best memories and ‘most fun’ times came when Terry and Sue visited us in Arizona and California. He will be greatly missed but his legacy and imprint he left on everyone’s lives will never be forgotten.
