Obituary of Terry L. Kemp
Terry L. Kemp, 51, of 1035 E. 2nd Street, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Friday November 15, 2013, in WCA Hospital.
She was born September 20, 1962, in Eutis, FL, a daughter of Betty J. Madison Kemp and the late Roland "Ron" Kemp.
She was a 1980 graduate of Jamestown High School.
She was a 23 year employee of Southwestern Central School where she worked as a teacher's aide. She loved her work and will be remembered as someone who went out of her way taking extra time with special needs students.
She was the first female admitted to membership in the Celoron Volunteer Fire Department. Upon her death she was an organ and tissue donor and would encourage others to do the same.
Surviving besides her mother of Lakewood is a son Steven Vincent of Jamestown; two sisters Sherry Kemp of Jamestown and Michele (Marilyn Storms) Kemp of Conway, SC.
She was preceded in death by her father.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Peter Dawson, Fire Service Chaplain, will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Monday and for one hour prior to the service Tuesday in the funeral home.
