Obituary of Aaron J. Graham

Aaron Jamaal Graham, 31, of the Fluvanna Townline Road, passed away Monday November 25, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 7, 1982 in Jamestown the son of John L. and Rachel A. Biekert Graham. Aaron's most precious time was that spent with his daughter. Aaron had the most beautiful smile and was the most amazing strong man that we will ever know. He was a graduate of Maple Grove High School class of 2000 and was an ambassador of the Cancer Stinks Children's Foundation. He enjoyed drag racing, camping, hunting, and fishing and was an avid sports fan following the LA Lakers and Dallas Cowboys. Surviving besides his parents are his daughter, Amari Marie Graham; his fiancée, Amanda Hallett; a step son Amari Michael McGaughy; his brother, Isaiah J. Graham (Liz Peterson); his sister, Sara J. Graham; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Ilean Graham; his maternal grandmother, Helen Biekert; and his uncle, Lonnie Graham. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday November 30, 2013 in the Zion Covenant Church, 520 Fairmount Ave. The Rev. Leroy Walker, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The family would like to establish an education fund for Amari Marie and are asking that donations be sent to Rachel Graham at 4295 Fluvanna Townline Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
