Obituary of Audrey E. Kidd

Audrey E. Kidd, 90, formerly of Sinclairville, died Monday December 9, 2013, after a brief illness. A Newark resident the past 8 years, she was born April 2, 1923, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Axel and M. Ethel Barkman Hanson. She was a graduate of Celoron High School and had been employed by Kraft Foods in Dunkirk until her retirement. Surviving are two children Stephanie (Fred) Gibson of Marion, NY and Michael Kidd of New Bern, NC; three grandchildren Scott Tompsett of Kansas City, MO, Douglas Pearson of Jamestown and Jason Gibson of Stanley, NY; five great grandchildren and a twin brother Alden Hanson of Sinclairville. She was preceded in death by her husband Roland Kidd, whom she married September 22, 1945 and who died June 10, 1984; a daughter Terry Kidd Tompsett and two sons Peter and Jeffrey Kidd. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
