Obituary of Mary L. Davis

Mary L. Davis, 77, of Tanglewood Manor, formerly of 30 Charles St., passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in WCA Hospital. She was born in Jamestown on March 26, 1936. Prior to retiring, she had been employed by Wegmans in Lakewood for 14 ½ years. A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Mary enjoyed sewing, knitting, word search puzzles and watching baseball. She is survived by a son, Jerome (Shelly) Davis of Jamestown; two grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan) Oswald of Wellsboro, PA and Eric (Rebecca) Davis of Macedon, NY; and a sister, Beulah (Phillip) Cammarata of Jamestown. Mary was preceded in death by an infant daughter; her mother, Minnie Condon and step-father, John Condon; and two brothers, Rev. Roger Cowan and Frank Cowan. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014, in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert J. Kasting will officiate. Friends will be received in fellowship hall of the church following the service Saturday.
