Obituary of Richard A. Urso

Richard A. Urso, 77, formerly of Tanglewood Manor, died Saturday January 11, 2014, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 16, 1936, in Jamestown, the son of the late Joseph and Susan Bellavia Urso. He was a 1954 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Community College. He was a veteran of the US Army Signal Corps serving from 1958-61. Prior to his retirement he owned and operated Duco Electrical Contracting. He earlier was co-owner with Joe Dimaio of The Lite House. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. Surviving are a sister Patricia Urso of Jamestown; three daughters Laurie Carr and Pamela Cooper, both of Pinellas Park, FL and Jennifer (Steven) Doggart of Jefferson, OH; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. James Catholic Church. Rev. Darrell Duffy will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 5 p.m. Memorials may be made to Southwestern Independent Living Center, 843 N.
