Obituary of Craig E. Eccles

Craig E. Eccles, 58, of 15 Englewood Ave Jamestown, passed away Thursday February 13, 2014 in WCA Hospital. He was born August 19, 1955 in Jamestown the son of the late Eugene Eccles and Beverly McKee Eccles Sischo. Craig loved working at the Resource Center in Jamestown and was very proud of the job he did. He participated in Special Olympics, winning several ribbons, and loved bowling the most. Craig's nickname was Mr. Ed and he could be very stubborn at times, but he was very loyal to his girlfriend. He was a fan of the Buffalo Bills, enjoyed beading, coffee breaks, eating, especially at his favorite restaurant, McDonalds, and going to the Library to get movies. He was a very dapper dresser and loved getting new clothes. Craig loved the sanctuary of his bedroom where he could watch cable channel 5, listen to his scanner, and eat. Surviving are his stepfather, Albert Sischo Sr., two sisters, Thelma Samuelson of Jamestown; Evelyn Emmick of Ellington; his special friend and brother, Warren Sischo of Jamestown; special friend and caregiver for over 30 years, Barney Davis; and several cousins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Chris Eccles, Albert Sischo Jr., Paul Sischo; and his grandparents, Walter and Hattie McKee. The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery Ellington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Special Olympics 4885 Merritt Road, Bemus Point, NY 14712.
