Obituary of Carole L. Bergman

Carole L. Bergman, 79, of 1607 Wellman Road Ashville, passed away Tuesday February 25, 2014. She was born February 26, 1934 in Youngstown, OH the daughter of the late Frank Lane and Ruth Carlberg Lane Armstrong. She was a graduate of Southwestern High School and for many years worked as a veterinary assistant for Dr. Charles Sanderson at Pet Animal Hospital and later, retired from the Resource Center. Carole was a member of Watts Flats United Methodist Church; and several quilting groups, including Harmony Quilters. Carole enjoyed reading, watching bull riding, horseback riding, sewing, and gardening. Her favorite times were those spent with her family. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Jarold O. Bergman; four children, Cindy (Aaron) Weise of Panama; Jarl (Lynn) Bergman of Hickory, NC; Heidi (Dean) Ottaway of Sherman; Anne (Emmett) Tenpas of Ashville; seven grandchildren, CodyAnne Weise, Leanna Bergman, John Bergman, Rachel Ottaway, Rebecca Ottaway, Nathan Ottaway, Kara Tenpas; and a brother, Russell (Jean) Lane of Atlanta, GA. The family invites you to celebrate Carole's life with them at an open house luncheon from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday March 1, at the Watts Flats United Methodist Church.
