Obituary of Anita Flood Smith

Anita Flood Smith, 77, of 3596 Woodhaven Drive, Jamestown, died Tuesday March 25, 2014, in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born August 7, 1936, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Gordon and Lorraine Johnson Flood. She was a graduate of Southwestern Central School and prior to her retirement in 1995, was employed by Marine Midland Bank as a loan officer in the Agricultural Department. She was a member of Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association, and several club auxiliaries including Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion, Mayville Post 8647 VFW, Eagles, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and AMVETS Post 50, Sugar Grove. Surviving is a sister Janice Streed of Lakewood. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Smith, whom she married January 11, 1958 and who died April 27, 2000, a brother Robert Ribbing, a twin brother Richard Flood and a step mother Mildred Flood. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
