Obituary of Charles A. Dean, Jr.

Charles A. "Chuckie" Dean, Jr., 49, of 218 West Eighth St. Jamestown passed away at 9:12 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, in the UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA. A lifelong area resident, he was born July 17, 1964 in Westfield, NY, a son of the late Charles A. Dean, Sr. and the late Margaret A. "Marg" Fardink Dean Rooney. He attended the former Chautauqua Central School and was employed by the Keywell Corporation-Vac Air Division in Frewsburg for 22 years. Chuckie was an avid sportsman who loved rooting for the Washington Redskins and was a NASCAR fan of Jimmie Johnson. He also enjoyed working on his cars. Surviving are a daughter; Tiffany Barrus, two grandchildren; Camron Barrus, Aubrey Barrus all of Jamestown, two sisters; Donna (David) Shagla of Sugar Grove, PA, Marjorie (Anthony) Siliano of Ashville, NY, his companion of many years Jody Churchill and her children; Dakota Churchill, Kyle Churchill, Brantley Churchill and Celeste Barretero, and his nieces and nephews; David Shagla, Jr., John Siliano, Brandon Siliano, Julie Destro and Stephanie Siliano-Butts. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Kira Barrus and his grandparents; Albert Fardink, Erma Odell Fardink, George Dean and Daisy Haight Dean. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Timothy Phelps, Chaplain of Hospice Chautauqua County will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashville, NY. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Friday.
