Obituary of Lillian C. Ingerson
Lillian C. Ingerson, 84, of 303 West Fifth St. Jamestown, passed away at 8:28 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, in W.C.A. Hospital.
A lifelong area resident, she was born June 11, 1929 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Emmanuel S. and Ellen Y. Johnson Hultman.
Before her retirement in 2000, she was employed as a home care aide for Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. and in earlier years was the elevator operator at the Hotel Jamestown for many years.
In her younger years she had attended the Weakland Chapel in Jamestown.
She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved to sing, dance and twirl.
Surviving are two sons; David A. (Christine) Ingerson of Celoron, James R. (Christina) Ingerson of Lander, PA, three daughters; Jeanette L. (Rick Kibbe) Slagle, Debra A. (Jeffrey) Pawloski both of Celoron, Susan (Frank) Selle of Jamestown, 19 Grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and her daughter in law Barbara Ingerson of Celoron.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald L. Ingerson who died in 1975, a son Daniel R. Ingerson who died May 30, 2013, four brothers; Milton, Laverne, Arthur and Paul Hultman and two sisters; Ethel Hultman and Violet Weeks.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Hurst, Pastor of the Lander United Methodist Church will offiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
