Obituary of Lucille M. Carlson
Lucille M. Carlson, 61, of Ashville, NY, went home to her Heavenly Father, Saturday April 26, 2014.
A lifelong area resident, she was born April 21, 1953 in Jamestown the daughter of Blanche Olson Carlson and the late Clarence H. Carlson.
She was a 1971 graduate of Panama High School. Lucille drove bus for the Resource Center, Chautauqua Institution, and the Panama School district, and had worked at the Salvation Army.
She loved the Lord, and enjoyed gardening, baking, and playing cards. She also loved animals, especially her dogs, Lollipup and Princess. Lucille will be remembered for her tremendous love for her children and grandchildren. She loved spending all her time with her family.
Surviving are her mother Blanche Carlson of Panama; four sons, Edward (Holli Boyers) Morrison Jr. of Fairview, PA; Gregg (Melissa Ecker) Morrison, Timothy (Melissa) Lawson, Tomas (Laci) Lawson, all of Panama; a daughter, Melissa (Jay) DeVliger of Panama; nine grandchildren, Chloe Morrison, Brendon Ramsey, Sawyer J. Ramsey, Anna Lawson, Kayleigh Stanfield, Isaac Lawson, Zoe Lawson, Ava Lawson, and Ella Lawson; seven brothers and sisters, Barbara Newberry of Copperas Cove, TX; Phillip (Sharon) Carlson of Panama; Marcia (Jim) Bliss and Cheryl (Chuck) VanRiper both of Jamestown; Annette (Ken) Trout of Great Falls, MT; Paul Carlson and John Carlson both of Panama; a step brother, David Tracy of Panama; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father Clarence H. Carlson.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Rodney Sprowls, pastor of Panama Baptist Church will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday in the funeral home.
