Obituary of Michael A. Yuchnitz

Michael A. Yuchnitz, 72, of Ashville, NY died unexpectedly Friday April 25, 2014 in Fort Pierce, FL. He was born March 1, 1942 in the Bronx, NY the son of the late Alexander J. Yuchnitz and Elizabeth Foux Yuchnitz Hoffman. Prior to retirement, he worked as a tool and die maker at Cummins Engine for 22 years, and previously at Arrow Tool and Die for 10 years. He was a member of the Celoron Moose, Viking Lodge, and Randolph American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Gladys Bush Yuchnitz whom he married September 9, 1961; two sons, Michael R. (Kristen) Yuchnitz of Ashville; Douglas Yuchnitz of Jamestown; a daughter, Deanna (Simon) Swatt of Youngsville, PA; nine grandchildren, Benjamin, Andrew, Gregory, Justine, Jenna, Jarett, Michael A., Patrick, and Karianne. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen A. Yuchnitz who died January 29, 2014. A Celebration of Michael and Stephen's lives will be held this summer at a time to be announced.
