Obituary of Twila E. Kerr
Twila E. Kerr, 94, formerly of 74 Metcalf Ave., has gone to her eternal resting place on Wednesday May 28, 2014.
She was born February 18, 1920 in Marion Center, PA the daughter of the late Laney and Carrie Van Horn Aul.
For many years, Twila worked as a cook at several area establishments, including the Airport Restaurant and the Celoron American Legion. She was a member of the Red Hatters and past member of the Celoron American Legion Auxiliary and Celoron Senior Citizens. Twila enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing cards.
Surviving are three daughters, Debra (Dana) Dahlquist of Jamestown; Donna (Edward) Bourdon of Nevada; Peggy Kerr of Jamestown; 10 grandchildren, Pam (Dave) Holmberg of Lakewood; Susie (Scott) Brauen of Darien Center, NY; Kristy (Marvin) Pantojas of West VA; Jessica (Sam) Fitch of Jamestown; Cindy (Dennis) Miller of Gasport, NY; Valleri (Gregg) Robertson of SC; Aaron (Angela) Bourdon of CA; Diana Bourdon of Nevada; Jerry (Anna) Phillips of Frewsburg; Paul (Suzette) Phillips of Ischua, NY; 21 great grandchildren; and 19 great great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert M. Kerr whom she married December 24, 1938 and who died November 7, 1986; a son, Thomas Kerr; and 11 brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Miller, pastor of Zion Covenant Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Saturday in the funeral home.
