Obituary of Mary Jane Lucariello
Mary Jane Lucariello, 71, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully at 7:20 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014, in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.
A lifelong area resident, she was born November 13, 1942 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late James M. and Frances Tedesco Dentico.
Before her retirement in 2012, she was an administrative assistant for Aspire of Western New York. In previous years she had worked for the former Dahlstrom Manufacturing Company, the former Jamestown Laminating Company and the Millcraft Paper Company.
She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church.
Mary Jane will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved cooking and traveling, especially to the casinos. She also loved to attend her grandson's sporting events and was a volunteer for the Gus Macker and Street Jam Basketball Tournaments for many years. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love for her family, her positive attitude on life and her bright smile.
Surviving are a daughter Victoria Trass Bardo (William VanDyke) and a grandson Jordan Bardo both of Jamestown, her loving nieces, Debbie Peterson and Carole Anne Golden and their families, her many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as her lifelong friends Bill and Kathy Roehm.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Connie "Mary" Sweet and a brother Phillip Dentico.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Michael Lennon of St. James Catholic Church will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
