Obituary of Marion M. Miller

Marion M. "Cookie" Miller, 58, of 162 McKinley Ave. Jamestown passed away at 2:08 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, under the care of her ex-husband and best friend Daniel Miller at 12 Flagg Ave. following a lengthy illness. A lifelong area resident, she was born November 8, 1955 in Westfield, NY, a daughter of Gerald and Catherine Walters Pierce. She was a 1973 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School and Jamestown Community College. She will be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. Surviving are her mother, Catherine Pierce of Stockton, two daughters, Audra (Toby) Peterson of North East, PA, Nichole Osman of Jamestown, a son, Jason Kavanaugh of FL, five grandchildren, Jazman and Jalessa Thompson, Benjamin, Alyssa and Anthony Osman, three sisters, Cindy Pierce, Sue (Dennis) Acosta both of Stockton, Addie (Louis) Lexow of SC and a brother Gerald (Melody) Pierce, Jr. of Stockton. She was preceded in death by her father Gerald Pierce who died in 2001. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Greenwood Cemetery, Stockton, NY. The Rev. Richard Hamilton, pastor of the Stockton Community Church will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
