Obituary of Anna L. Swanson

Anna Lou Swanson, 80, of Jamestown passed away at 11:10 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. A lifelong area resident, she was born October 3, 1933 in Falconer, NY a daughter of the late Stephen R. and Sarah I. McCarty Hunt. Before her retirement she was employed in the house keeping department for the Lutheran Home for 22years. She will be remembered as one who loved to play bingo and spend time knitting. Surviving are two sons, Stephen K. (Sharon) Pangborn of Cassadaga, Bruce H. Pangborn of Jamestown, two daughters, Patricia (Gary) Blaisdell of FL, Linda (Dan) Lewis of Jamestown, two step-sons, Charles E. (Cindy) Swanson of Bemus Point, Scott Swanson of Jamestown, one step-daughter, Carolyn Curry of Jamestown, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister Vivian Harrison of FL. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Swanson, Sr. whom she married May 29, 1971 and who died June 16, 2008, a daughter Lynne A. Ray, a grandson, Stephen R. Pangborn, a sister Audrey Waterman and two brothers, Claude M. Hunt and Stephen G. Hunt. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation observed. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
