There was absolutely no one in this world like Bill. We were childhood friends who never outgrew each other. I have many, many wonderful memories of him. He'd been through too much - for way too long. It does comfort me knowing all his trials are now over. Sarah, Oliver, Richard & the Lord, along with so many others are now welcoming him in Heaven. My deepest sympathy to you, his family. My heart goes out to all of you. May God comfort you. And love to you, my dear, dear friend - you will be sadly missed - till we meet again.

Bill,
You were more than a brother, you were my mentor and a great friend. You helped shape my life in more ways than anyone will ever know. I will miss all of the crazy spur of the moment things we did, like road trips during blizzards, and for not being too mad when I wrecked your car. I already miss our "deep" theological and political discussions and the years of singing and playing together.I take comfort in knowing that you are now with Richard, Mom and Dad, all in the arms of Christ. You were a Giant in my life and I will always look up to you.

Bill gave us so many warm memories & brought myself, my family members closer to God. He wed two of my brothers to their wives. I loved working with him in the church. I remember his sense of humor, his outstanding preaching & his heartfelt singing. I am humbled to have had him as such a big part of my life & that of my families. He helped me with the death of my daughter, Jennifer & drew me closer in not only knowing God's will, his plan but believing in HIS will and plan. Rest is peace Pastor Bill for you now are safely home.

My comfort is that you are not suffering anymore dad. On the way to the hospital, I kept thinking about when you would play the piano and I would play the organ together for practice. It would fill the empty church with improvised, no structure music. You always filled the spaces you were in with either music, laughter, or conversation. I love you and miss you.

I took care of Bill at Heritage Park. He was a good friend to all. We shared so many good conversations, laughs, and early morning cups of coffee. I gave him his monkey, that we had many jokes about! He had such a wealth of interesting stories, and made friends with everyone! We will miss him very much. My deepest condolences to his family. Treasure all the great memories , and know he touched many lives with his humor and kindness. God Bless!
