Obituary of Clarence T. Carlson
Clarence T. "Bud" Carlson, Jr., 75, formerly of 213 E. Virginia Blvd., passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Lutheran Home & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born August 29, 1938 in Jamestown, the son of the late Clarence T. and Jeanette (Stroth) Carlson, Sr.
Bud served in the US Army National Guard from 1958 to 1961.
Prior to his retirement in 1977 due to ill health, he had been employed by Jamestown Metal Manufacturing.
Bud enjoyed volunteering for the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his wife, the former Gloria Frankson whom he married May 3, 1958; two daughters: Autumn (Nicholas) Agnello of Port Richie, FL and Barbara (Chip) Genco of Frewsburg, and a son, Chuck (and fiancé, Jeanine Zimmer) of Bemus Point; eight grandchildren: Tony (Kellie) Agnello of Hudson, FL, Nicole (and fiancé, Kelly Sterling) Agnello of Trinity, FL, Jason Genco of Frewsburg, Jayme (Ashley) Genco of Jamestown, and Ashley (Jake) Hydahl, Brittany Carlson, Carlie Carlson and Curtis Carlson, all of Lakewood; four great-grandchildren: Aurora Hydahl, Camryn Agnello, Kylie Agnello and Jacoby Genco; a sister, Clarice Overbeck of Port Richie, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Murray.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in Christ Chapel of the Lutheran Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday in Christ Chapel.
