Obituary of Linda Silsby

Linda A. Silsby, 59, formerly of Jamestown, passed away Thursday September 4, 2014 in her home in Montrose, IA after losing a battle to pancreatic cancer. She was born May 24, 1955 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Elvin and Terry Bimber. Linda was a supervisor at Catfish Bend Casino for 12 years. She enjoyed birds, cats, and Reba McEntire music. Linda was a loving mother who was always there for her children. Surviving are four children, Charlene (Bobbie Saeli) Silsby of Jamestown; Tammy (Wayne) Smith of Jamestown; Michael (fiance' Carrie Houser) Silsby of Lakewood; Jessica (Joshua) Hatfield of Jamestown; 11 grandchildren; one great grandson; one brother, Kevin Bimber of Jamestown; and her companion of 13 years, Allen Pierce whom she resided with in Montrose, IA. Also surviving are her ex husband, Alfred Silsby Jr. of Jamestown; her step mom, Donna Bimber; and three step sisters. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home.
