Obituary of Kenneth C. Lundahl

Kenneth C. Lundahl, 84, of 54 Blanchard Street, went home to be with his Lord, Sunday September 14, 2014. A native of Warren, PA, he was born March 30, 1930, a son of the late Elmer and Dorothea Erickson Lundahl. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1954-56 and stationed in Germany. He graduated from Warren High School in 1948, Augustana University in 1952, Jamestown Community College in 1959 and Penn State University in 1961. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Jamestown Community College as an associate professor in the business department teaching 12 different subjects. While at JCC he taught accredited classes for Empire State College, served as faculty advisor to Intervarsity Christian Fellowship for many years and participated in the Planning Committee for the JCC Library building. Early in his career he worked for B.F. Goodrich, Akron, OH, as a chemical engineer. He was a member of Zion Covenant Church and the Vikings. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Surviving are his wife Nancy Carlson Lundahl, whom he married April 5, 1958, in Warren; three children Captain David Lundahl, DDS, of Washington, DC, Kristen (Jeff) Johnson and Erika Myers, both of Jamestown; six grandchildren Joseph, Brittany and Chelsea Lundahl, Ashley (Jesse) Nelsen, Adam Johnson and Matthew Myers; a great granddaughter Leah Nelsen; two sisters Barbara (Charles) Reese of Sun City Center, FL and Dorothy Boyer of Lakeland, FL and a brother Richard (Jeanne) Lundahl of Meadville. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion Covenant Church. Rev. Rick Miller will officiate. Friends will be received in Fellowship Hall of the church following the service.
